About Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park sits at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. In a small area it packs in lush groundwater forest, open floodplains, hot springs and a shallow soda lake.
The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, big troops of baboons, elephants in the forest and, in the right season, thousands of flamingos on the lake. It is an easy first or last stop on a northern circuit safari.
