After breakfast, you join your fellow travellers for the transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara. There, your morning game drive begins in Lake Manyara National Park. The park is well known for its rich biodiversity, scenic landscapes and abundant birdlife.

First, you drive through the lush groundwater forest, home to baboons, blue monkeys and elephants. Next, you continue across open plains and acacia woodlands. Here you may spot zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

By midday, you stop for a relaxing picnic lunch at one of the designated sites. From there, you enjoy sweeping views of the lake and the Great Rift Valley escarpment. After lunch, your afternoon game drive explores more of the park’s diverse habitats. You may also visit the hippo pool or the lakeshore, which are ideal spots for birdwatching and photography.

This time, you explore deeper into the park and take in the breathtaking savannah, dotted with acacia trees and rolling grasslands. Meanwhile, you may witness predator-prey interactions and large herds of herbivores. With luck, you may also spot elusive big cats in action. In the early afternoon, you pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the park.

After lunch, you enjoy one final game drive as you head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, you keep spotting wildlife while you cross the vast plains.

By late afternoon, you arrive at Simba Campsite on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Settle in and enjoy the cool highland air. Finally, after a delicious dinner, you have an early night so you are ready for tomorrow’s crater adventure.

First, you have an early breakfast. Then you descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During a half-day game drive on the crater floor, you can spot a wide variety of animals. These include lions, hyenas, hippos, zebras, wildebeest and the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater’s unique ecosystem offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Tanzania.

Around midday, you stop at a scenic picnic site near the hippo pool for lunch surrounded by nature. After lunch, a final short game drive gives you time for last sightings and photos of this natural wonder.

Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Arusha by your professional guide. Then you enjoy a scenic drive through Moshi town to Marangu Gate, the gateway to Kilimanjaro National Park.

At Marangu Gate (1,870m), you first complete the park formalities. After that, your guided hike starts through the lush rainforest. The trail climbs gradually through rich vegetation, home to colobus monkeys and exotic birdlife.

After a few hours of hiking, you reach Mandara Hut (2,700m). Here you take a well-deserved break and enjoy your packed lunch while you take in the scenic surroundings.

In the late afternoon, you begin your descent to Marangu Gate and retrace your steps through the forest.
