First, your adventure begins with an early-morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha, Moshi or at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Then you enjoy a scenic drive to Londorossi Gate, the western entrance to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. Here you then complete registration and meet your professional mountain guide.
After a short transfer to the Lemosho Trailhead, you start hiking through the lush montane rainforest. It is one of the most beautiful and untouched parts of Mount Kilimanjaro. Meanwhile, your experienced guide introduces the mountain's unique ecosystem and towering native trees. You may also see colourful birdlife and wildlife such as blue monkeys and black-and-white colobus monkeys.
In fact, the Lemosho Route is famous for its peaceful atmosphere and spectacular scenery. When skies are clear, it offers some of the closest views of Kibo Peak or Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest point. So it is the perfect route for nature lovers and photographers.
After a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by nature, you then descend through the rainforest to the trailhead. Next, you return to Londorossi Gate. Finally, your driver takes you back to your hotel in Arusha, Moshi or to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
