Itinerary

Day 01 :

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

First, your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha by your professional safari guide. Then you drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s premier wildlife destinations. It is famous for its huge elephant herds, iconic baobab trees and diverse wildlife.

During a full-day game drive, you search for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest. You may also see buffaloes, warthogs and many antelope species. In addition, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers, with more than 550 recorded bird species. At midday, you enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before your afternoon wildlife viewing.

Later in the day, you drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02 :

Tarangire – Ngorongoro Highlands – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you travel through the lively village of Mto wa Mbu. Then you climb into the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands. Here you enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Maasai villages, volcanic landscapes and green hills before continuing to Serengeti National Park.

Once you enter the Serengeti, an exciting afternoon game drive begins across the world-famous plains. Along the way, look for lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, wildebeest and many other species. Finally, you arrive at your lodge for the night.

Day 03 :

Full-Day Serengeti National Park Safari

Spend the whole day exploring Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During morning and afternoon game drives, you have excellent chances to find the Big Five, such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and the rare black rhino. Depending on the season, you may also witness thousands of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and predators moving across the endless plains as part of the Great Migration.

Throughout the day, the Serengeti also offers superb wildlife photography, spectacular landscapes and unforgettable safari moments.

Day 04 :

Full-Day Great Migration Safari in Serengeti

After an early breakfast, you continue exploring Serengeti National Park, this time with a special focus on the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Your experienced safari guide tracks the movement of the herds, so you get the best possible wildlife viewing. Depending on the season, you may see thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains. You may even witness the dramatic Mara River crossings, where crocodiles and predators lie in wait.

Throughout the day, you also meet lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, elephants, giraffes and many other species. Together, they make the Serengeti one of the world’s greatest safari destinations.

Finally, you return to your lodge after another unforgettable Serengeti sunset.

Day 05 :

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Today you leave the Serengeti early and travel to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most celebrated natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, you descend about 600 meters to the crater floor for an incredible game drive. In fact, the crater has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. While you enjoy the spectacular scenery, look for black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and zebras. You may also spot wildebeest, hyenas, flamingos and many other species.

After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you drive back to Arusha. Finally, we drop you off at your hotel, Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey or flight to Zanzibar.
