Day 01 :

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. First, you meet your professional safari guide and fellow travelers. Then you drive to Tarangire National Park, one of the most beautiful wildlife parks in Tanzania and home to its largest elephant population.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through landscapes dotted with giant baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the Tarangire River. The river also attracts wildlife throughout the year. During your safari, look for large elephant herds, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, impalas, ostriches and warthogs. In addition, the park has over 550 bird species. In the late afternoon, leave the park and drive to your lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 02 :

Tarangire – Ngorongoro Highlands – Central Serengeti

After breakfast, set off for Serengeti National Park through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands. This drive is one of the highlights of the safari. Along the way, the landscape changes from lush farmland and forested hills to Maasai villages and volcanic scenery. Finally, the vast golden plains of the Serengeti appear.

When you enter the park, begin an afternoon game drive in one of the greatest wildlife destinations in the world. For example, search for lions resting on rocky kopjes and cheetahs scanning the plains. You can also look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, leopards and countless antelope species. As the sun sets, you then arrive at your luxury tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 03 :

Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (Mara River Crossing)

Today is the most anticipated day of your safari.

After an early breakfast, drive to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende), home to the spectacular Mara River Crossing. Between July and October, millions of wildebeest and zebras gather along the riverbanks. Then they make their dramatic crossing into the Maasai Mara in Kenya.

Spend the day following the migration with your experienced safari guide, who positions the vehicle at the best viewing spots. If nature cooperates, you may see thousands of animals crossing crocodile-filled waters. Meanwhile, lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs patrol the surrounding plains. Even when no crossing takes place, Northern Serengeti also offers exceptional wildlife viewing and breathtaking scenery.

Day 04 :

Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti

Wake early for one final chance to witness the Great Migration on a morning game drive in Northern Serengeti. Early morning is one of the best times to see predators returning from the night’s hunt. It is also ideal for photographing wildlife in the soft golden light.

After lunch, begin your scenic journey back to Central Serengeti. Along the way, search for resident wildlife, such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas and leopards. Finally, arrive at your camp in the late afternoon and relax after another unforgettable day.

Day 05 :

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy a relaxed morning game drive in Central Serengeti, your last chance to photograph the incredible wildlife and landscapes of the park. The Seronera Valley is famous for its resident predators and plentiful plains game, so every drive is rewarding.

After lunch, leave the Serengeti and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with spectacular views of the crater highlands. Then arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, where you can relax and prepare for the next day’s crater adventure.

Day 06 :

Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Often called the Garden of Eden of Africa, the crater has one of the highest wildlife concentrations in the world.

Enjoy an exciting game drive in search of the endangered black rhino, large lion prides, elephants, buffaloes and hippos. You can also see hyenas, zebras, wildebeest, flamingos and many other species that thrive in this ancient volcanic caldera.

Later, continue to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park famous for its groundwater forests, soda lake and tree-climbing lions. It is also home to large troops of baboons, elephants, giraffes, hippos, flamingos and rich birdlife. After a game drive through this diverse ecosystem, you finally return to Arusha in the late afternoon.
