Begin your 3 day joining safari with a warm welcome from your guide. First, your guide picks you up at the airport or your accommodation. Then your journey starts toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park.

Along the way, you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here the road also winds along the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. As a result, you enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of this ancient volcanic caldera.

As you continue your drive, you descend into the vast open plains of the Serengeti. In the Maasai language, the name means “endless plains”. Moreover, this iconic park is one of the most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries on Earth. It is famous for the Great Migration and also for the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.

Your 3 day joining safari continues at the break of dawn. For something extraordinary, you can also take an optional hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti National Park (booking required, additional cost).

Glide above the golden plains while the sun rises. Meanwhile, long shadows stretch across herds of wildebeest and antelope, and perhaps even a pride of lions beginning their day.

After the balloon safari, or a more relaxed morning, you return to camp for a hearty breakfast. Then you set off on a final morning game drive across the vast Serengeti. This is your chance to spot any animals you may have missed, since wildlife appears around every bend.

In the afternoon, begin your journey southeast toward the lush Ngorongoro Highlands. During the drive, you pass through the rich Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you travel, the scenery changes from dry savannah to green hills. These hills are dotted with Maasai villages and terraced farmland, so it is a beautiful cultural and geographical transition.

By early evening, you arrive at your highland lodge. Here the crisp air and tranquil surroundings offer the perfect contrast to the wild plains. Finally, unwind, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and reflect on the day’s adventures.

First, rise early and set out for the Ngorongoro Crater, which many call the "Eighth Wonder of the World". In addition, this vast, unbroken caldera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It also holds a remarkable concentration of wildlife. For example, you may see lions, elephants, hyenas, hippos, flamingos and even the rare black rhino.

As you descend 600 meters into the crater, you enter a wildlife sanctuary like no other. In this natural amphitheater, the drama of the African savannah unfolds before your eyes.

Later, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot near a hippo pool. Then continue your game drive, taking in the breathtaking scenery and wildlife until mid-afternoon.

After your crater adventure, you transfer back to Arusha, with time to freshen up if needed. Finally, you head to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your scheduled flight.
