Itinerary

Day 01 :

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. First, you meet your professional safari guide and fellow travelers. Then you set off for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s finest wildlife destinations.

Tarangire is famous for its huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, scenic river valley and rich variety of wildlife. During your full-day game drive, you look for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and wildebeest. You may also see impalas, warthogs, ostriches and some of the park’s over 550 species of birds. Finally, after an exciting day, you drive to your lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 02 :

Tarangire – Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)

After breakfast, you set off for the legendary Ndutu region. It lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and borders the southern Serengeti National Park.

First, you enjoy a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands. Then you reach Ndutu, where the open plains fill with thousands of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles during migration season. Next, your afternoon game drive begins. You look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, jackals, bat-eared foxes and many bird species.

During calving season, predator action is common, so every game drive is exciting and unpredictable. In the evening, you arrive at your camp for dinner and the night.

Day 03 :

Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu

Today you spend the whole day exploring the incredible Ndutu Plains, one of Africa’s most important wildlife ecosystems. You follow the Great Migration while thousands of wildebeest calves are born on the open grasslands. This extraordinary event also attracts many predators, so you have excellent chances to see natural wildlife behavior.

Meanwhile, your experienced guide takes you to the best viewing areas. For example, you may see lions stalking prey, cheetahs sprinting across the plains and leopards resting in acacia trees. You may also spot hyenas, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and countless bird species.

At midday, you enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush. Then you continue your game drive until sunset. Finally, you return to Safari Haven Camp for dinner and another memorable night in the wilderness.

Day 04 :

Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, you leave for the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.

Then you descend over 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. People often call it Africa’s Garden of Eden because of its incredible wildlife density.

The crater also offers one of Tanzania’s best chances to see the endangered black rhino. In addition, you may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, flamingos, serval cats and many other species.

After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, you drive back up the crater walls. Finally, you return to Arusha in the late afternoon, and your safari with Serengeti Wildlife Safaris comes to a close.
