Itinerary

Day 01 :

Arusha / Moshi Londorossi Gate

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha, Moshi, Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), or Arusha Airport (ARK). Enjoy a scenic drive to Londorossi Gate, the western entrance to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, where you'll complete registration before entering the park. After a short transfer to the Lemosho Trailhead, begin your hike through one of Kilimanjaro's most beautiful and untouched rainforests. Surrounded by towering trees, giant ferns, moss-covered forests, and abundant wildlife, you'll experience the peaceful beauty that makes the Lemosho Route so special. Your professional mountain guide will introduce you to the mountain's fascinating ecology while sharing stories about Kilimanjaro's history, wildlife, and local culture. Along the trail, you may spot blue monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, colorful birds, and unique plant species found only in this ecosystem.

As you approach Shira 1 Camp, the forest gradually opens, and on clear days you'll begin to enjoy magnificent views of Kibo Peak, offering one of the closest perspectives available on any short Kilimanjaro trek.

After a delicious hot dinner prepared by your mountain cook, spend the evening relaxing beneath an incredible blanket of stars. Day 02 :

Shira 1 Camp Lemosho Trail – Londorossi Gate – Arusha / Moshi

Wake up to the fresh mountain air and enjoy breakfast surrounded by the peaceful rainforest. If the skies are clear, you'll once again have the opportunity to admire the spectacular views of Kibo Peak before beginning your descent. After breakfast, hike back through the beautiful rainforest, enjoying one last chance to photograph the towering trees, wildlife, and breathtaking scenery that make the Lemosho Route one of the finest hiking trails in Africa. Upon arrival at Londorossi Gate, meet your driver and transfer back to your hotel in Arusha, Moshi, or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), bringing your unforgettable Mount Kilimanjaro adventure to a close.
