Your luxury safari begins with a morning pick-up in Arusha and a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. There you enjoy a full-day game drive in a park famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds and varied wildlife. Meanwhile, your guide explores different areas in search of elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and more.

After a picnic lunch in the park, you continue towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. Then you arrive at Gibb’s Farm in the late afternoon. Finally, settle into your luxury cottage and enjoy the peaceful gardens and beautiful views.

After an early breakfast, you leave Gibb’s Farm for the Ngorongoro Crater. First, you descend into the crater for a spectacular game drive across its floor. The crater offers excellent chances to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with luck, black rhinos.

Then you enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before driving back up and on towards Ndutu. As you approach the southern Serengeti, the landscape opens into the short-grass plains where wildebeest gather during calving season.

In the afternoon, you arrive at Lemala Ndutu Camp and settle into your luxury tent. Depending on your arrival time and the wildlife, you may also enjoy a short first game drive. Afterwards, you return to camp for dinner.

Wake early for your first full day on the Ndutu calving plains. During calving season, huge numbers of wildebeest gather on the short-grass plains to give birth. So you spend the day following the herds, looking for mothers with newborn calves, zebra herds and other wildlife.

The many newborn animals also attract predators. As a result, you may see lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals hunting or moving among the herds. At midday, you enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness. Then you keep exploring through the afternoon, while your guide adapts the route to the latest wildlife movements.

Finally, you return to Lemala Ndutu Camp in the evening for dinner and a relaxing time around the campfire.

After breakfast, you set out for another full day of wildlife viewing around Ndutu and the southern Serengeti. Today you follow the migration, rather than a fixed route. You look for large groups of wildebeest, zebra and newborn calves, while also watching for predators following the herds.

Meanwhile, your experienced guide uses local knowledge and the latest wildlife movements to find the best viewing and photo opportunities. After a picnic lunch in the bush, you continue your afternoon game drive. Then you return to Lemala Ndutu Camp in the evening.

Today you enjoy another exceptional day in Ndutu, with more time to take in the calving season at a relaxed pace. After an early breakfast, you head deeper into the plains in search of wildlife. Depending on the day’s movements, you may find large wildebeest gatherings, newborn calves, zebra, gazelles and some of the area’s resident predators.

The calving season is especially exciting because so many young animals lead to intense encounters between prey and predator. So you spend time watching these natural moments, while your guide positions the vehicle carefully for viewing and photography. After a picnic lunch, your afternoon safari continues. Finally, you return to Lemala Ndutu Camp for your last night beneath the African sky.

Wake early for your final morning game drive in Ndutu. The cooler morning hours give you one last chance to look for predators, wildebeest herds and newborn calves before leaving the migration plains.
