Itinerary

Day 01 :

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your unforgettable family safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Arusha. After a short safari briefing, you drive to Tarangire National Park. It is one of the finest wildlife destinations in Tanzania, famous for its giant baobab trees and impressive elephant herds.

During your game drive, you have the chance to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas and warthogs. You also see a wide variety of birdlife. Next, stop for a picnic lunch before you continue with an afternoon game drive.

In the evening, you drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02 :

Mto wa Mbu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you leave Mto wa Mbu and travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area on your way to the world-famous Serengeti National Park.

As you enter the Serengeti, you begin your afternoon game drive across the endless plains. Look for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. In fact, this abundant wildlife makes the park one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa.

Finally, you arrive at your camp before sunset for dinner and a relaxing evening in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 03 :

Full-Day Family Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Today you spend the whole day exploring the incredible landscapes of the Serengeti on a full-day family game drive. Your experienced safari guide takes you to the best wildlife areas, so you have excellent chances to watch predators and herbivores in their natural habitat.

Depending on the season, you may witness the spectacular Great Migration. You may also watch lions stalking prey, cheetahs sprinting across the plains and elephants roaming with their young. At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush. Afterwards, your safari continues through the afternoon.

In the evening, you return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 04 :

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti. Then you begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, you keep spotting wildlife while you take in the breathtaking scenery of the Serengeti plains and the lush Ngorongoro Highlands. You also stop for a picnic lunch before you reach your lodge in the late afternoon.

Later, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before dinner.

Day 05 :

Ngorongoro Crater – Mto wa Mbu

After an early breakfast, you descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. The crater has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. For example, you may see the Big Five, black rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and flamingos.

At lunchtime, you enjoy a picnic near the hippo pool. In the afternoon, you then climb out of the crater and drive to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Day 06 :

Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha / Departure

After breakfast, you drive to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. This beautiful park is famous for its lush groundwater forest, alkaline lake and tree-climbing lions. It also has large troops of baboons, elephants, giraffes and hippos, as well as a great variety of birdlife. During certain seasons, thousands of flamingos gather here too.

Next, enjoy a picnic lunch before you leave for Arusha. On arrival, we transfer you to your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. This brings your unforgettable family safari to a close.
