Itinerary

Day 01 :

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your family safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. Then you enjoy a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds, and it offers excellent wildlife viewing all year round.

During your game drive, you search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and colourful birds. At midday, you enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park. After that, your afternoon safari continues.

Later, you drive to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing night.

Day 02 :

Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you set off for the world-famous Serengeti National Park and pass through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands on the way. As soon as you enter the Serengeti, your game drive begins across the endless plains. These plains are home to an incredible variety of wildlife.

Look out for lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and many antelope species. Depending on the season, you may also witness the spectacular Great Migration.

In the evening, you arrive at your luxury camp to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 03 :

Full-Day Serengeti National Park

Spend the whole day exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. So you have plenty of chances to watch wildlife in its natural habitat and discover different areas of the park.

For example, you can watch predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. You may also meet elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles and countless plains game. Meanwhile, your guide takes you to the best viewing spots based on recent animal movements.

At lunchtime, you enjoy a picnic in the bush. Then your adventure continues until late afternoon.

Finally, you return to camp for dinner and another peaceful night with the sounds of the African wilderness all around you.

Day 04 :

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti. Then you begin your journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, you keep spotting wildlife while you take in the spectacular scenery of the Serengeti plains and the Ngorongoro Highlands. You also stop for a picnic lunch before you continue to the conservation area.

In the afternoon, you arrive at your lodge. There you can relax and enjoy the beautiful gardens and peaceful surroundings before dinner.

Day 05 :

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha / Departure

After an early breakfast, you descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Africa’s finest wildlife destinations.

During a half-day game drive across the crater floor, you may meet the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino. In addition, look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, flamingos and many other species.

After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, you drive up out of the crater and back to Arusha. Finally, we transfer you to your hotel or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your unforgettable family safari.
