Tarangire is famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. So it offers an authentic safari experience and makes an exciting first stop on your 6-Day Tanzania Adventure.

As soon as you enter the park, your first game drive begins. You explore the diverse ecosystems that make Tarangire unique, such as open grasslands, acacia woodlands and seasonal swamps. There is also the life-giving Tarangire River, which draws large numbers of animals during the dry season.

All day, you can spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, warthogs and various antelope. In addition, Tarangire is one of East Africa’s outstanding birdwatching destinations. It is home to hundreds of colourful species, including hornbills, kingfishers, eagles and ostriches.

After breakfast, you set off on a scenic journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park. It is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations and home to the Great Migration. As your 6-Day Tanzania Adventure continues, the drive takes you through beautiful highlands and the vast plains of northern Tanzania.

When you enter Serengeti National Park, the endless golden savannah stretches to the horizon. This is one of the most iconic safari landscapes in the world. The Serengeti ecosystem also supports an incredible variety of wildlife, including large predator populations and huge herds of grazing animals.

Your afternoon game drive begins as soon as you arrive. Look for lions resting beneath acacia trees, leopards hidden in the branches and cheetahs scanning the grasslands. You may also see elephants moving gracefully across the open savannah. Depending on the season, you may even witness the Great Migration, with thousands of wildebeests and zebras searching for fresh grazing.

The Serengeti is also home to hyenas, jackals, hippos, crocodiles, gazelles, topis, elands and countless bird species. So every moment in the park offers remarkable wildlife encounters and spectacular views.

At sunset, the golden light turns the plains into a beautiful African scene, perfect for photography and relaxation. After your game drive, you continue to your luxury safari camp or lodge. There you enjoy dinner under the African sky while listening to the wildlife nearby.

Accommodation: Serengeti Four Seasons
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti. This is one of the best times to see predators in action, because lions, leopards and cheetahs are active in the cool morning hours. Meanwhile, the sunrise over the plains creates a breathtaking atmosphere that captures the true beauty of Africa.

After breakfast, you explore other parts of the park in search of more wildlife. Your guide takes you to areas known for high animal numbers and hidden sightings. Depending on the season, you may witness river crossings, predator hunts or large elephant herds moving across the plains.

After lunch, you leave the Serengeti and drive to the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy views of rolling hills, Maasai villages and volcanic landscapes.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Africa. As you climb toward the crater rim, the scenery changes dramatically. The open savannah gives way to cool highland forests covered in mist and greenery.

Then you arrive at your lodge near the crater rim, where breathtaking panoramic views await. Below you, the crater looks like a lost world full of wildlife. In the evening, relax at the lodge, enjoy dinner and prepare for your final safari in the crater the next day. The peaceful atmosphere and cool mountain air are the perfect end to another unforgettable day in Tanzania.

After an early breakfast, you descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth. Often called Africa’s Garden of Eden, the crater holds an incredible concentration of wildlife within its enclosed ecosystem.

The crater floor has grasslands, swamps, forests, lakes and acacia woodlands that support thousands of animals year-round. During your game drive, you may see the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and hyenas. You may also spot zebras, wildebeests, flamingos and many other species living side by side.

Because of its dense wildlife and compact area, Ngorongoro is one of the best places in Tanzania to see the Big Five in a single day. Meanwhile, your expert guide helps you find wildlife and explains the geological history and ecological importance of the crater.

At midday, you enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Then you continue exploring the crater floor. The dramatic landscapes and extraordinary wildlife sightings make an unforgettable finale to your Tanzanian adventure.
