First, you spend two nights at Serengeti Classic View. From there, you explore the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu plains, where huge wildebeest herds gather to give birth.

During your game drives, look for newborn calves, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other wildlife, with excellent chances for photography. The safari also includes a full day in Ndutu. So you have valuable time to follow the migration and look for predator activity before you return to Arusha on Day 3.

Itinerary

Day 01 :

Arusha – Serengeti – Ndutu

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. First, you meet your professional safari guide. Then you set off toward the Serengeti in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle and enjoy the scenic journey through northern Tanzania.

As you approach the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu area, the landscape opens into vast grasslands, seasonal lakes and acacia woodland. Next, you begin your first game drive as you enter the migration area. During the calving season, you may see large wildebeest herds, newborn calves, zebras and gazelles. Your guide also looks for predators that follow the migration, such as lions, cheetahs and spotted hyenas. Finally, you continue to Serengeti Classic View for dinner and overnight.

Day 02 :

Full-Day Ndutu – Wildebeest Births & Great Migration

After an early breakfast, you set out for a full-day game drive in Ndutu, the main highlight of your safari. During the calving season, the short-grass plains become a nursery for the Great Migration. Here, huge herds of wildebeest gather to give birth, and thousands of newborn calves appear across the plains.

You spend the day watching the migration and looking for exciting wildlife encounters. For example, you may see mothers protecting their calves and zebras and gazelles moving among the herds. Meanwhile, predators carefully watch the young animals. Your guide will look for:

Zebras and gazelles
Lions and lion prides
Cheetahs
Spotted hyenas
Elephants
Giraffes
Eagles, vultures, and other birds

Next, you enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before your afternoon game drive. Because the Great Migration follows rainfall and fresh grazing, your guide monitors current wildlife movements. As a result, you explore the best areas of the day. Later, you return to Serengeti Classic View for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 :

Ndutu – Morning Game Drive – Arusha

Wake early for your final Ndutu game drive. This morning gives you another chance to look for wildebeest herds, newborn calves and predators before the journey back to Arusha. Your guide chooses the best area based on recent sightings. Meanwhile, you enjoy your final wildlife encounters and photo opportunities across the Southern Serengeti plains.

After the game drive, you begin your return journey toward Arusha, with a picnic lunch along the way. Then you travel through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania and reach Arusha in the late afternoon or evening. Finally, your guide drops you at your hotel, the airport or another agreed location.
