Itinerary

Day 01 :

Arusha or Moshi Machame Gate Machame Camp

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. We can also collect you from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). After a scenic drive to Machame Gate, you complete registration with Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. Then your trek begins.

At first, the trail climbs gradually through a beautiful tropical rainforest with towering trees, giant ferns, waterfalls and rich wildlife. While you hike, your guide explains the mountain's ecology. Your guide also points out unique plants and animals found only on Kilimanjaro.

After approximately 5–7 hours of hiking, you arrive at Machame Camp (3,000 m). Later, you enjoy a freshly prepared hot dinner in peaceful surroundings. Finally, you spend the night in comfortable mountain tents beneath the stars.

Day 02 :

Machame Camp – Machame Gate – Arusha / Moshi

Day 2: Machame Camp – Machame Gate – Arusha / Moshi

Wake up to the crisp mountain air and enjoy breakfast while you admire the spectacular rainforest scenery. Then, after packing your gear, you begin your descent through the forest back to Machame Gate.

On the way down, you have another chance to appreciate the incredible biodiversity of Kilimanjaro National Park. You can also spot wildlife and take beautiful photographs. Finally, you meet your driver for the return transfer to Arusha, Moshi or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
