First, every 7-Day Kilimanjaro Rongai Route Tour we run is tailor-made, so we can adjust the dates, accommodation and pace. In addition, our local team supports you from arrival to departure. Before you travel, you can also read about the area on the official Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) website. For more ideas, see our other Kilimanjaro National Park tours.

Experience an unforgettable adventure on our 7-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Climb via the Rongai Route. It is one of the most scenic and peaceful routes to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), Africa’s highest point. The Rongai Route approaches the mountain from the northern side, near the Kenya border. In fact, it is the only trail that begins from the north. It is also famous for its quiet paths, unspoiled wilderness and excellent summit success rates.

So the Rongai Route is an excellent choice if you want fewer crowds, gradual altitude gain and diverse landscapes. During this adventure, you trek through beautiful forests, remote moorlands, alpine desert and glacial landscapes. Finally, you stand on the Roof of Africa.

Why climb the Rongai Route with us

We especially recommend this route during the rainy seasons. This is because the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro receives less rainfall than the southern routes. In addition, this 7-day itinerary includes extra time for acclimatization. As a result, your body adjusts naturally to the altitude, while your chances of reaching the summit increase.

During the climb, our experienced mountain guides, skilled cooks and dedicated porters support you. You also enjoy freshly prepared meals and quality camping equipment. At Serengeti Wildlife Safaris, we proudly guide climbers from around the world to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Moreover, we provide safe, reliable and personalized service from start to finish.
