Day 01 :
Tarangire National Park – 2-Day Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Your 2-day Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your lodge or hotel in Arusha. Then you take a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich parks.

The park is especially famous for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees. It is also known for the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of animals throughout the year.

First, enjoy an extended morning game drive across open savannah and riverine habitats. Here you may see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and buffalo, as well as numerous bird species. Then, around midday, stop at a designated picnic site for lunch in the heart of the wilderness.

In the afternoon, continue your game drive as part of your 2-day Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater safari. Meanwhile, explore more wildlife hotspots and enjoy excellent photography opportunities. Later in the evening, drive to Ngare Lodge for check-in, dinner and a good night’s rest.

Ngorongoro Crater – 2-Day Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater Safari

After an early breakfast, your 2-day Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater safari continues with a drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is also the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth. Next, descend 600 meters to the crater floor for a spectacular game drive in one of Africa’s richest wildlife areas.

The crater is also home to the Big Five, which includes lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and the rare black rhino. You may also see hippos, hyenas, zebras, flamingos and wildebeest. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, with stunning views and close wildlife encounters.
