Next, you descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. Finally, you wander through the lush forests and bird-rich waters of Lake Manyara National Park.
Along the way, you get up close to Africa’s Big Five and, in season, witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. When you arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport or in Arusha city, we pick you up and take you to your accommodation. Then your guide gives you a pre-safari briefing. Depending on your arrival time, we can also arrange an optional town tour. Later, you have dinner and spend the night at a budget lodge or hotel in Arusha.
After breakfast, you set off for Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and large herds of elephants. During a full-day game drive through savannah and riverside landscapes, you spot lions, giraffes and abundant birdlife. At midday, you enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park. Later, you transfer to Mto wa Mbu for the night at a public campsite or budget lodge.
After breakfast, you drive to Serengeti National Park through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands. On the way, you stop at the crater rim for stunning panoramic views. Then you continue into the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive on the way to your campsite. Here you may witness seasonal highlights such as the Great Wildebeest Migration or predator-prey encounters. Finally, you have dinner and spend the night at a public campsite in the Serengeti.
First, you begin the day with an early morning game drive to spot predators such as lions, leopards and hyenas. Then you return to camp for breakfast. After that, you set out on a full day of exploring the Serengeti with a packed lunch. For example, you may visit the Seronera Valley or the Retima Hippo Pool. Later, a sunset drive rounds off the day before you return to camp for dinner and the night.
Enjoy an early breakfast before you drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Next, you descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive on the crater floor. The crater is rich in wildlife, such as black rhinos, buffalo, zebras and flamingos. At lunchtime, you eat at the hippo pool picnic site. Then, in the afternoon, you drive up out of the crater and head to Karatu for the night.
