Your 6 day Tanzania safari begins with a morning transfer from your accommodation in Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The scenic drive takes about two to three hours. When you arrive, you set off on a full-day game drive across wide savannah dotted with iconic baobab trees.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds. However, it is also home to lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many bird species. Meanwhile, the Tarangire River attracts animals all year round, so wildlife viewing here is excellent.

After breakfast at Ngare Lodge, you continue your 6 day Tanzania safari with a scenic drive toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The route crosses the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands. Here rolling green hills and panoramic views make the drive spectacular.

As soon as you enter the Serengeti, you begin an afternoon game drive across its vast plains. The park is known for abundant wildlife, such as lions, cheetahs, wildebeest, zebras and many antelope species. Later, as the sun sets over the golden savannah, you head to Serengeti Sound of Silence. There you enjoy dinner and spend the night beneath a star-filled African sky.

This day of your 6 day Tanzania safari is all about the wildlife of Serengeti National Park. You spend the whole day on game drives through different parts of the park, where animal activity is often at its peak. For example, you may find lions resting under acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains and elephants crossing the grasslands.

At midday, a picnic lunch in the heart of the Serengeti lets you enjoy the landscape in the middle of nature. Meanwhile, your guide shares insights about the park’s ecosystem and helps you find wildlife all day. In the evening, you return to Serengeti Sound of Silence for dinner and a relaxing night.

Start the morning with an optional hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti plains. It offers breathtaking aerial views of the wildlife below. So it is an unforgettable way to see the park at sunrise.

If you prefer to stay on the ground, an early morning game drive gives you another chance to spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and other wildlife. After a picnic lunch, you continue game viewing in the afternoon while you gradually head toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. Finally, you arrive at Ngorongoro Safari Lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay amid dramatic highland scenery.

After breakfast, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas. The crater floor supports a dense concentration of animals. These include lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and large flocks of flamingos around the soda lake. With some luck, you may also spot the rare black rhinoceros.

Then you enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater, with its breathtaking scenery all around. Later in the afternoon, you visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about local culture, traditions and daily life. After this cultural visit, you continue to Mawemawe Manyara Lodge in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and the night.

The final day of your 6 day Tanzania safari starts with breakfast. Then you head to Lake Manyara National Park, at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This scenic park is known for its varied habitats, such as lush groundwater forest, open grassland and the alkaline lake itself.

During the morning game drive, you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and baboons. You may also find the famous tree-climbing lions that make Lake Manyara unique. In addition, the park is rich in birdlife, with flamingos and many other species along the lakeshore.

After a picnic or hot lunch, you leave for Arusha in the afternoon. Finally, we drop you at your hotel or transfer you to the airport, and your memorable Tanzania safari comes to an end.
