Itinerary

Highlights: Elephant herds, Baobab trees, classic savannah landscapes

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup in Arusha. Then you take a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is home to large elephant populations and iconic baobab trees.

First, you enjoy a full-day game drive, with a picnic lunch inside the park. Also watch for lions, zebras, giraffes and plenty of birdlife in this less-crowded gem of Tanzania.

Morning Transfer to Serengeti: After breakfast, you drive toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive takes about 4-5 hours. Meanwhile, you enjoy views of the picturesque Tanzanian countryside.

Afternoon Game Drive in Serengeti: As soon as you arrive, your first game drive in the Serengeti begins. The park is famous for its vast plains, abundant wildlife and the Great Migration (seasonal). So keep an eye out for lions, cheetahs, giraffes and many antelope species.

Overnight Stay in Serengeti: Finally, you spend the night at a Seronera public campsite, with the sounds of the wild all around.

Morning Game Drive: Start the day with an early game drive, when wildlife is most active. Look for predators hunting in the early hours. Also watch other animals before the day heats up.

Depart for Ngorongoro Highlands: After lunch, you travel to the Ngorongoro Crater. The journey takes about 3-4 hours. This UNESCO World Heritage Site also holds a wide range of wildlife on its crater floor, including the Big Five.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Simba campsite: Then you relax at Ngorongoro Simba campsite near the crater, with panoramic views of the area.

Descend into the Crater: After breakfast, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor is full of wildlife, such as elephants, zebras and wildebeests. The area is also famous for its dense population of lions and rhinos.

Picnic Lunch: Next, you enjoy a picnic lunch in the beautiful crater. Then your game drive continues in the afternoon.

Return to Arusha: After an exciting day on safari, you travel back to Arusha. There you then stay overnight at Greenside Hotel.

Materuni Waterfalls: After breakfast, you drive to the scenic Materuni Waterfalls near Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. The waterfall lies in lush rainforest, so it is a great place to hike and enjoy nature. You can also cool off in the refreshing water at the base of the falls.

Departure: In the late afternoon, we transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Finally, you head home with unforgettable memories of your Tanzanian safari.
