This 10-day Africa safari and beach holiday combines the best of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit with a relaxing beach escape in Zanzibar. Witness the iconic Great Migration in the Serengeti, visit local tribes, and explore wildlife-rich parks including Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Then fly to Zanzibar to unwind on white-sand beaches, swim with dolphins, and explore the spice island’s cultural gems.

Itinerary

Day 1 :

Arrival & Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hrs, 120 km). This park is characterized by acacia woodlands, baobab trees, and large swamps that draw diverse wildlife during the dry season. Expect to see large elephant herds and possibly the rare Greater Kudu, Fringed-eared Oryx, and Ashy Starlings.

Day 2 :

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park (30 km, approx. 30 min). Enjoy a full-day game drive in a park famed for its shallow soda lake, tree-climbing lions, elephants, and flocks of flamingos.

Day 3 :

Serengeti Plains via Karatu and Ngorongoro

Day 4 :

Serengeti Plains – Northern Serengeti

Option 2: Full-day game drive to Northern Serengeti, arriving in time for an evening drive.

Day 5 :

Northern Serengeti – Mara River

Day 6 :

Northern Serengeti – Flight to Zanzibar

Morning game drive before transfer to Kogatende airstrip for your flight to Arusha or Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, a guide will greet you and take you to Prison Island and Nakupenda Sandbank (depending on tides), or a Stone Town walking tour. Transfer to your hotel in Nungwi.

Kizimkazi Village & Jozani Forest
