Tarangire National Park Safaris & Tours
Giant baobabs, the Tarangire River and some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania.
About Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is known for its ancient baobab trees and big herds of elephants. In the dry season the Tarangire River is the only reliable water source in the area, so wildlife gathers along its banks in huge numbers.
Alongside elephants you can see lion, leopard, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest, plus more than 550 bird species. It is a quieter park than the Serengeti and a great start to any northern circuit safari.
Good to know
