Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive across the Ndutu plains. This is the main highlight of your safari. Ndutu's short-grass plains become an important nursery for the Great Migration during the calving season. You may see large wildebeest herds spread across the plains, mothers with newborn calves, and young animals taking their first steps. The concentration of young animals also attracts predators, creating some of the most exciting wildlife viewing in Tanzania. Your experienced safari guide will search for:  Wildebeest and newborn calves, Zebras and gazelles, Lions and lion prides, Cheetahs, Spotted hyenas, Elephants, Giraffes, Raptors and other birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. These varied habitats attract both migratory and resident wildlife. The morning is particularly good for wildlife photography, when the light is soft and many animals are active. After your picnic lunch, continue exploring the plains through the afternoon. You may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras, solitary cheetahs, lion prides resting near the herds or hyenas moving through the grasslands. As the sun begins to set, return to African Safari Ndutu for your final evening. Enjoy dinner and relax around the camp while listening to the sounds of the wilderness.

Wake early for your final Ndutu game drive. This last morning gives you another opportunity to search for the migration and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Southern Serengeti before beginning your journey back to Arusha. Your guide will choose the best area based on recent wildlife sightings. You may have a final opportunity to photograph wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and predators before leaving the Ndutu plains. After the morning game drive, begin your journey back to Arusha with a picnic lunch along the way. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, airport, or another agreed location.
