Your Tanzania relaxation day trip starts with a morning pickup from your Arusha accommodation. Your Serengeti Wildlife Safaris guide then drives you through the Tanzanian countryside to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, also known as Chemka Hot Springs. This natural geothermal spring lies in a hidden oasis between Arusha and Moshi. It is one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets: a peaceful paradise of fig trees, palms and crystal-clear turquoise water.
Along the way, you pass local villages and dry savannah. On clear days, you may also glimpse Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru.
Upon arrival, you have the rest of the morning and early afternoon to relax and unwind. The warm, mineral-rich water is perfect for a refreshing swim or float. Meanwhile, the rope swings add a bit of fun for thrill-seekers. The area is also well shaded, so it is ideal for lounging, reading or simply soaking up the calm.
