Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short safari briefing, drive approximately 2–3 hours to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's hidden gems and the sixth-largest national park in the country. Named after the Tarangire River, the park is famous for its ancient baobab trees, rolling savannahs, seasonal swamps, and one of the highest concentrations of elephants in East Africa. The river attracts wildlife throughout the year, making Tarangire one of the best places for game viewing, especially during the dry season. Upon arrival, begin a full-day game drive through different habitats, including river valleys, acacia woodlands, and open plains. Your experienced safari guide will explain the park's unique ecosystem, conservation efforts, birdlife, and wildlife behavior while searching for animals throughout the park. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at one of the designated picnic sites before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, leave the park and drive to Ngare Lodge, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night in comfortable surroundings.
