In fact, early morning is the best time for wildlife viewing, because animals are most active. After a few hours on the Serengeti plains, enjoy a relaxed brunch. Then begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, you cross beautiful savannah landscapes, with more chances to spot wildlife. In the afternoon, you arrive at the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite on the crater rim. It also has stunning views across the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. Finally, settle in, enjoy a delicious dinner and prepare for tomorrow’s adventure inside the Ngorongoro Crater.

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. It is one of the richest wildlife destinations in Africa. In addition, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an incredible density of animals. For example, look for the rare black rhino and large herds of wildebeest, zebras and buffaloes. You can also see elephants, hippos, hyenas and a thriving lion population.

The fertile crater floor offers outstanding chances for Big Five sightings in a compact area. So it is one of the best places for wildlife photography.
