After breakfast and a safari briefing in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful wildlife destinations. The drive takes you through vibrant villages, rolling countryside, and scenic landscapes before arriving at the park gate. Named after the Tarangire River that flows through the park year-round, Tarangire is famous for attracting large concentrations of wildlife, particularly during the dry season.
Upon entering the park, begin your exciting game drive through diverse habitats, including open grasslands, river valleys, seasonal swamps, and magnificent baobab trees. Tarangire is renowned for its impressive elephant population, and visitors often encounter large herds moving gracefully across the plains. Other wildlife commonly seen includes giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, buffaloes, and numerous antelope species. Predators such as lions and leopards may also be spotted resting beneath acacia trees or stalking prey.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park while surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife. Continue your afternoon game drive, exploring different sections of the park before departing in the late afternoon.
After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, proceed to Ngare Lodge for check-in. Relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before dinner. Reflect on the day's remarkable sightings and prepare for the adventures awaiting in the days ahead.
