Your journey begins with a short flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where a member of the Serengeti Wildlife Safaris team welcomes you warmly. Then you head straight to Tarangire National Park, famed for its huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and seasonal river system. Then a full-day game drive introduces you to lions, zebras, buffalo, giraffes and hundreds of bird species.

At midday, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in the park before continuing your drive. Finally, by late afternoon, you settle in at Ngedere Lodges & Camps, a peaceful eco-lodge near the park.

First, after breakfast, you set off toward the iconic Serengeti National Park, with scenic stops along the way. As soon as you enter the park, the vast open plains unfold. They are home to a wide array of wildlife, such as cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeest and zebras.

You may start your day with an optional Serengeti hot air balloon safari, which offers a bird’s-eye view of the plains at sunrise. Then, after breakfast, you spend the day on extensive game drives in the Seronera Valley, the heart of predator country.

From graceful gazelles to prowling leopards and lion prides, every moment is picture-worthy. At midday, you also enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness. Later, you return to Seronera Public Campsite for a relaxing evening.

First, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti. Then you head south to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you marvel at the ever-changing landscapes and stop for lunch in the wilderness.

Finally, in the late afternoon, you arrive at Simba Campsite on the crater rim. There you enjoy panoramic sunset views over the crater while you prepare for the next day’s descent.

Today you descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural wildlife sanctuary. On your game drive, expect to see rhinos, lions, hippos, elephants and possibly leopards.

Later, after a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, you begin the drive back to Arusha. Finally, you spend the night at the charming Karibu Heritage House, where you can unwind in comfort.

Wrap up your adventure with a guided Arusha city tour. First, you visit the inspiring Shangashanga Foundation, which supports artists with disabilities. Next, you see a local art gallery, the Tanzanite Experience and the Natural History Museum.
