Our Story

From humble beginnings to becoming one of Tanzania's most respected safari operators

Founded in 2015 by wildlife enthusiast John Danford, Serengeti Wildlife Safaris began as a small tour operator with just two Land Rovers and a passion for sharing Tanzania's natural wonders. Today, we've grown into one of Arusha's most respected safari companies, yet we've maintained our personal touch and commitment to authentic experiences.

What sets us apart is our team of expert guides - all born and raised in Tanzania with years of field experience. They don't just show you the animals; they share intimate knowledge of ecosystems, animal behavior, and local cultures that can't be found in guidebooks.
